- Physical Character
White or light yellow powder, relative condense 1.4 in moist. It dissolves in water and glycerine and little in ethanol. Decomposed in humid, oxygenized into sodium sulfate by exposed in air, sulpher dioxide will be released when it contacts with strong acid and then created the relative salt, resolved by heated at 150℃.

- Application
Medicine industry: Used for manufacturing trichloromethane, sulphetrone and benzaldohyde.
Rubber industry: Used as coagulative agent.
Dye-industry: Used as dechlorination agent and cotton boiling-off agent for bleached cotton.
Leather industry: It can make leather soft, well-developed, tough water proof, wear-ability and etc.
Chemical industry: Used for manufacturing hydrochloride hydroxylamine and etc.
Light-sensitive industry: Used as developer and others.

Quality Standard
(In Accordance With GB1893-1998)
1. Appearance: Sodium metabisulphite grade one is white crystal powder.
2. Food additive Sodium pyrosulfite shall meet the following requirements:

- Caution
The product is very easy to be oxidized when exposed to air and emit sulfur dioxide continuously, so it is difficult to store the product for a long time in open air and it is necessary to protect the product from moisture. The product will disintegrate when heated above 150℃ and emit sulfur dioxide gas, so the product cannot be stored and transported together with gasoline, acids or oxidants and other inflammable substances.

The product is packed in intermal plastic bags with external braided bags in net weight of 50 kg. Product for export is packed in net weight of 25 kg.
